Four pregnant ladies rescued from illegal confinement in Enugu

27-year-old Blessing Eze has been arrested and arraigned before a court in Enugu state for allegedly, unlawfully housing four pregnant girls.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, the lady is also involved in slave trade.

The accused and four others now at large, on June 17, planned among themselves to confine the four girls in her home with the intention of selling the babies to different hospitals to prospective buyers after delivery.

The accused was granted a bail of 500,000 naira after she pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The case was adjourned to August 3 for hearing
