Recall that on the 19th of february, this year, a 16 year old girl was brutally gang raped by two men at Osumowo street, Awada, in Idemili North Council Area of Anambra State, leaving the victim unconscious due to excessive loss of blood.
Following the report, police detectives trailed and arrested the suspects namely,
(i).Chidiebere Uzoma, a male, aged 45, of Ukaegbu Street, Awada, and,
(ii).Uchenna Nwegbu, also male, aged 23 years, of Osumowo street, Awada.
The victim was taken to the hospital for medical Examination where rape was confirmed.
She is presently receiving treatment.
Upon interrogation, the suspects voluntarily confessed to the alleged Crime.
Consequently. the suspects were arraigned before the magistrate court, Idemili, on the 11th of this month, for prosecution after investigation was concluded.
