
The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has given assurance to Nigerians that President Muhammadu’s administration will do everything possible to prevent a repeat of school abductions in the country.
This was contained in a statement by the minister at a press conference in Abuja on Friday following the release of school boys earlier abducted from government science secondary school Kankara, Katsina State.
The over 300 students abducted last week were released on Thursday with the intervention of the state governor Aminu Masari and the military according to reports.
According to the information minister, the Administration of President Muhammadu Buhari moved with speed and determination each time faced with the challenge of school abduction and the results attest to this.
The minister also pledged to ensure that the Federal Government will not relent until the remaining Chibok and Dapchi schoolgirls are reunited with their families.
He added that although, president Buhari did not visit the the school after the incidence, he coordinated the entire operation that led to their return.
