To tackle insecurity bedeviling the country, Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna state has proferred carpet bombing the forests as a solution.
The governor made this known in an interview with Arise TV on Tuesday .
He agreed that there will be collateral damages but it is better to wipe out the bandits and get people back to the communities so that agriculture and rural economics can pick up and thereafter, trees can be planted again.
The governor said that there are not enough boots on ground to address the myriad of security challenges that are faced across the country.
He called for more investment in security personnel and technology which will aid in wiping out military bandits once and for all.
