The Honourable member representing Awka South II Constituency in the Anambra state House of Assembly, Hon. Chukwuma Okoye, on Saturday, 12th November 2022, laid the foundation stone of community primary school Umuenu-Umuawulu.
In an address, the APGA standard-bearer identified safety of pupils and a conducive learning environment as factors necessitating the ongoing project. According to him, one of the core responsibilities of leadership in any level is the provision safe havens for the grooming and self development of younger generation of leaders.
Speaking on behalf of the community, His Royal majesty Igwe Joel M. Egwuonwu of Umuawulu, thanked Hon. Okoye for the kind gesture. He went further to describe him as a progressive young man who has done marvelously well in improving the living standards of his people. He assured of an unalloyed support from the entire Umuawulu community towards the second teem bid of Hon. Chukwuma Okoye.
In their separate interviews, Mrs Ekemezie Chinyere and Mrs Uriagu Theresa, in a happy mood appreciated Hon. Okoye for his contributions to humanity. They explained that Fulani herders has been a great terror to their environment but all thanks to Nwanayoeze for coming to their rescue.
They prayed that God shall grant his heart desires and perfect his dream of second tenure to come to pass.
