Hunters in Anambra State under the umbrella of Nigeria Hunters Council (NHC) Anambra State Command, have thrown their weight behind the Soludo administration, pledging to assist in ensuring a crime-free society.
The organization was established under the Nigerian Hunters Council (NHC) Establishment Bill, 2020, sponsored by Senator Biodun Olujimi.
The National Commander General of NHC is Ambassador Dr. Joshua Wole Osatimehin, and the organization uses conventional and traditional hunters to combat crime and criminality.
The State Commander, Ogudogwo Titus Chukwudi, in a press briefing in Awka, said they are impressed with what Governor Soludo is doing especially in flushing out revenue touts, and quick release of the twenty-man list of Commissioners, adding that they are prepared to work with him and contribute their quota for the progress of the state.
The NHC Anambra State Command boss said they would make a positive impact in the area of assisting all other Security Agencies to curb crimes such as Armed Robbery, Kidnapping, Banditry, Terrorism, Rape, Drug Abuse, etc.
He pointed out that this will help make Anambra State safe for residents and investors for businesses, which will further increase the economy of the state if they are adequately mobilized and engaged with materials to work with.
According to him, they can help in making Anambra a crime-free State, because no other agencies know the ungoverned places like the forest, bushes, and abandoned buildings within the State like the hunters.
