A 32-year-old mother of two, Blessing Felix, who was paraded with some robbery suspects at Zone 2 Command, Onikan, Lagos, has said she regretted marrying a thief.
The woman explained that she was arrested along with other criminals because her husband brought to their matrimonial home rolls of armoured cables worth over N80 million.
Recounting how she was arrested, she was at home last Tuesday when some men came to their house at Shibiri, in Ojo, demanding to see her husband, Felix Onyema.
She explained that she requested to know who they were because her husband was away. They just said they were his business partners. It was later that she got to know that they were policemen.
Concluding , she said, all efforts made to get her husband to come have proved abortive.
The police said they are detaining her because he kept the stolen cable in her custody.
Blessing was paraded with eight other members of the syndicate that specialised in selling stolen communication equipment.
