Some Igbo traders resident in the 19 northern states of the country have say they will to relocate most of their enterprises to the South East states if given opportunity by the governors  of the zone.

The President-General,  Anambra State Indigenes Welfare Association (ASIWA), Kaduna Branch,

Chief Shedrack Dimoha, who declared their intention in Awka, the state capital, while exchanging views with journalists, observed that relocating their investments to their home states would help in developing South East so quick as they were doing in other regions.

He re-echoed the popular saying that there is no place like home, adding that they would love to bring their  establishments to the South East to help in developing the region.

He maintained that they have developed other lands and want to extend it to their  land, asking South East governors to help them actualise their dream by providing them with enabling environment.

Chief Dimoha expects the governors to make space available to accommodate them.

The ASIWA president general, while hailing the governors for their support  to the Igbo in the Diaspora, appealed that they should not relent in coming to their rescue whenever they were called upon to give them a sense of belonging.

He further said that government should also remember their children when giving scholarships and bursary awards, as well as other incentives to deserving students.
