The Traditional Ruler Of Mbaukwu Kingdom, His Majesty Igwe PN Anugwu has handed over the documents and Deed of Purchase for over Sixty plots of lands he donated to Pallotine Mission in Nigeria.
The traditional Monarch performed the handover ceremony during the foundation laying ceremony of the Pallotine Headquarters in Nigeria located at Ananso Village in Namkpu Quarters Mbaukwu, Awka South Council Area of Anambra state.
Handing over the documents, he recounted how the Late Delegate Superior of Pallotine from Germany, Revd. Fr. Peter Hillen met him at his palace in 2018 and did many humanitarian works in Mbauwku and beyond which he said influenced his decision to give the late German, a Chieftaincy title, Odozi obodo Mbaukwu.
Igwe Mbaukwu while recalling numerous projects he has done for church growth, explained that he is addressed as Ezeamosu because he is a man that saw tomorrow, adding that apart from the prestigious Peoples Club of Nigeria, he does not belong to any Secret Society.
He thanked the Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Dr. Onyeka Ibezim for his several logistical support towards the success of the day’s event, also promising the Seminary mission that he will continue to support them in any way he can to foster progress.
He described Fr. Cosmas Onwukwe as his son, and a humanitarian who channels his youthful energies towards the works of evangelism and urges him to sustain those qualities Pallotines all over the world are known for.
On his part, the Deputy Governor of Anambra, Dr. Onyeka Ibezim described His Majesty Igwe PN Anugwu as a man who uses his resources to unite the body of Christ, commending him for his overall support to the project, which he said is never limited to Catholic Church alone but also to Anglican and other faith.
To the Pallotines, Dr. Ibezim assured them of state Government support in terms of security and logistics and extends felicitations of the state government concerning the project worth nearly Six Million Euros. He described the project as a credible project, which is in line with Prof. Soludo’s African Dubai-Taiwan
