Israeli jets struck southern Lebanon overnight after a rocket attack in the Golan Heights killed 12 children. The attack, which took place in Majdal Shams, targeted children playing football and has been attributed to Hezbollah by Israeli officials.

Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the attack, vowing retaliation. Hezbollah denied responsibility, claiming an Israeli defense system projectile was to blame.

The U.S. and United Nations urged restraint to prevent escalation. Diplomatic efforts continue as fears rise over a potential regional conflict.
