Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State has suspended Auwalu Danladi Sankara, the Commissioner for Special Duties, following allegations from Kano State Hisbah regarding sexual misconduct. In response, a five-member investigative panel has been formed, led by Secretary to the State Government, Bala Ibrahim, to probe the claims. The panel includes key government officials and has two weeks to submit its findings.

The suspension, described as a precautionary measure, aims to ensure a fair and transparent investigation. According to Ibrahim, the state government is committed to maintaining high ethical standards and upholding public trust.

Meanwhile, Sankara has denied the allegations, calling them a political witch-hunt designed to tarnish his reputation. He expressed confidence in his innocence and vowed to take legal action against those spreading what he described as false and malicious information. The state government emphasizes its commitment to accountability as the investigation unfolds.
