The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo, says the College of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Kaduna, is 90% complete and ready for commissioning.
Speaking during a facility tour, the Minister praised the Petroleum Technology Development Fund for establishing a world-class institution.
The college, located along the Kaduna-Zaria Expressway, features an international conference centre, modern library, hostel facilities, and sporting amenities.
Academic activities are scheduled to begin in 2025, with over 500 applications already received for its split-site PhD program. The Minister also urged the use of gas and solar energy to power the facility, supporting Nigeria’s energy transition goals.
