Kanu Nwankwo Hails Super Eagles for Their Win

Former Super Eagles captain Nwankwo Kanu has hailed the team’s impressive away win against Benin Republic at the Stade Charles de Gaulle, Porto-Novo.

The Super Eagles ended Benin’s eight-year unbeaten home streak with a 1-0 win.

Substitute Paul Onuachu netted the winning goal in the 93rd minute.

He took to Twitter to say, Congratulations my country people massive win. Up super eagles, we move.

The Super Eagles stil top Group L with 11 points from five matches, while Benin sit second with seven points and Sierra Leone follow in the third spot with four points.

The West Africans will host Lesotho in their final match of the qualifiers on Tuesday at the Teslim Balogun Stadium , Lagos.
