A Katsina Civil Society Group, Katsina Concerned Citizens For Good Governance (KCCGG), has raised alarms over recent incidents involving foreign nationals that they say threaten Nigeria’s sovereignty. The group highlighted incidents where foreign nationals were arrested for actions potentially harmful to the country, including raising foreign flags, such as the Russian flag, while desecrating the Nigerian flag.

In a statement, KCCGG Chairman Yakubu Muhammed called for the Federal Government to investigate and prosecute those involved, strengthen security around national symbols, and engage in campaigns to educate both citizens and foreigners on respecting Nigeria’s sovereignty.

The group emphasized that foreign interference poses a significant threat to Nigeria’s political stability and urged immediate government action to safeguard the nation’s integrity.
