Chairman of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR, Abia State chapter, Felix Olunkwa, has been released by his kidnappers, a week after he was abducted in Aba.
Reports has it that Olunkwa was kidnapped on May 24, 2024, while driving home from the Alaoji mechanic village, Aba, where he had gone to repair his uncle’s car.
His wife had raised the alarm after her husband failed to return home at 7 pm as attempts to ascertain his whereabouts were unsuccessful.
The kidnappers initially demanded a ransom of N200 million but later reduced the ransom to N4 million.
Sources said that the ransom was delivered Wednesday night, leading to Olunkwa’s release.
