Kpakpando FM holds a Children’s Christmas party at their media headquarters

Christmas season is a period Christians remember the birth of Jesus Christ as the savior of the world. The season is heralded with activities and one of such is Christmas party for children.

The 2022 Kpakpando Children’s Christmas party , which held on Sunday 18th December, at the Kpakpando Media headquarters in Mbaukwu was a fun reminder that Jesus wants the little children to come to Him for theirs is the kingdom of God.

In his opening prayer and remark at the onset of the event, Director, Institute of Theology, Paul’s University , Awka, Venerable Dr Rex Chika Kanu , said that the essence of Christmas is for all Christians to remember how God expressed his love for his people by sending Jesus Christ to come and reconcile men back to Him. He tasked the children to emulate the life of the baby Jesus and grow up responsibly with love and respect for all.

Explaining the reason for the yearly event, Adamma Onwuteaka on behalf of the General Manager Monic Okechukwu, said that the company saw the Christmas party as one of the social responsibilities of the company to the children and the community. She expressed appreciation to the founder of the Media outfit, Chief Christian and Gertrude Ebede for deeming it fit to bring such a gift of the radio station to the community and also thanked the parents of the children for their listenership and support in all their programs.

Bekee Ebele and Ngozi Umeokonkwo, presenters of Children’s program in the station and organizers of the Children’s party said it was a joyful thing for them to relate with the children through their respective programs and most especially to bring them together at a venue in the spirit of the season.

Special gratitude was extended to partners like Mr Ugo Chris Okeke, who supported the event in the memory of his late wife, Late Madam Esther Akatta Okeke , Miss Patricia of Treasure Kids Awka, Bueze Oil and Gas and other lovers of children.

Highlights of the event were games, dance competitions, and entertainment. Father Christmas was on the ground to thrill the children and other guests.
