Lady Who Jumped Into Lagos Lagoon Thursday afternoon Identified
The lady who jumped into the Lagos Lagoon Thursday afternoon has been identified.
A staff of the Department of State Services (DSS), identified the lady as Adetutu Adedokun, and report said she had an argument with her fiance before jumping into the Lagoon.
Sources in the office revealed that she is an unarmed combat instructor who stepped into the shoes of her parents who worked with the plain cloth service.

Adedokun who was in her late 30s, received a letter of commendation from the Director General of DSS as the best-unarmed combat operative in her set, a few months ago,
The report also hinted that her fiance proposed to her a few weeks ago.
She had alighted from a Uber taxi car on the bridge and plunged into the lagoon on Thursday afternoon.
According to the driver of the taxi, she was having a heated conversation with her fiance before alighting from the car.
Shortly after the incident, the LRT, Men of Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA), and officials of the DSS swung into action in search of the victim.
A search operation has been launched since the incident.
The eyewitness account revealed that Adetutu was said to have alighted from a taxi after a heated argument with her fiancé, headed for the railing of the bridge and scaled it into the lagoon.
“The Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Dr Olufemi Osanyintolu, confirmed the incident in a statement.
He said, “Upon the arrival of the Lagos Response Team at the incident scene, investigation revealed that a lady in her late thirties plunged into the Lagos lagoon.
“Further investigation revealed that the lady alighted from an Uber taxi car on the bridge and plunged into the lagoon.
”The driver of the taxi claimed she was having a heated conversation with her fiancé before alighting from the car.
“The LRT, men of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Services, LASWA and officials of the Department of State Services are currently on ground working together to search for the victim.”
The state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotosho, said rescue teams after intense search and rescue efforts were unable to find the victim.
He said, “The rescue teams called off their search by 7pm because it was already dark. They will continue the search tomorrow (Friday); you know it is water, the wave would have taken the body somewhere else. But we will search everywhere.””
