Lagos Government Warns Students Against Cultism, Gangs
Lagos State Government has advised students to shun bad gangs and cultism.
The Commissioner for Education, Folasade Adefisayo, who gave the advice while monitoring school resumption for second term, urged the students to face their studies and desist from all forms of social vices.
While addressing students of Ikeja Junior High School in GRA, Ikeja, she reminded the students of the need to work hard and stay focused, pursue greatness, exhibit creativity and maximise the use of digital learning.
The Education Commissioner informed that government had provided 1,047 new classrooms, constructed new schools and rehabilitated 197 since 2019.
“There has been commissioning of a technology-driven modular school, digital learning initiative, retraining of teachers, and programmes for skills acquisition”, she added.
“I was once a student like you, with determination you can aspire to perform better, become university graduates and valuable citizens”, she admonished.”
