Lekki: No stake in LCC, says Tinubu, calls for shutdown of toll gate

National leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has insisted that he had no stake in the Lekki toll gate operated by Lagos Concession Company, LCC as alleged by people.

He proposed for a shut down of the facility indefinitely to traffic , if that will exonerate him of allegations that he ordered the shooting of EndSARS protesters last Tuesday.

On the other hand, he suggested that if the facility will remain functional, revenue collected from the toll gate should be donated to confirmed victims of the attack and other identified victims of Police brutality.

Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos state agreed that the to gate is a public asset but proposed that the toll gate should be closed down for period .

Tinubu, also publicly claimed that he is a promoter and financial investor in the Nation Newspaper and TVC. Condemning the attack on the facilities, he expressed gratitude to God that no life was lost, even though properties were destroyed.

He denied the allegations that he order the deployment of soldiers against peaceful protesters at Lekki, neither did he have any prior knowledge of such action.

He sympathized with those who have lost their businesses due to the hijack of the peaceful protests by hoodlums and hoped that time will allow Nigerians learn proper lessons from the ENDSARS protests, which will steer toward a better , more just Nigeria
