Madam Agnes Ejie Laid To Rest As Dignitaries, Groups Pay Respects
The burial of Madam Agnes Ejie was held on February 7, 2025, with dignitaries, family members, and well-wishers gathered to pay their last respects.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chief Austin Obu noted that the United Nigeria Chaplaincy (UNC) had come to commiserate with the family of the International Commandant-General, Professor Jide Josiah Ejie.
He encouraged the family to remain strong, and prayed God to continue to bless them for organizing a befitting farewell for their mother.
Honourable Nneka Buzor, the State Commandant of UNC Corps, Anambra State, described the atmosphere as welcoming and prayed for divine comfort for the bereaved family.
Sir Godwin Ejie, the first son of the deceased, described their mother as a God-fearing woman who built a foundation of truth and peace in the family.
He urged his siblings to follow her footsteps, ensuring that they live meaningful lives.
Chief Edwin Ejie also described Madam Agnes as a kind-hearted woman who touched the lives of those around her, and prayed for continued strength for the family, taking solace in the belief that she is in a better place.
Also, on January 8, 2025, Oganudo Age Grade Ovollo Village, under the Chairmanship of Rtd. Assistant Corps Marshal (Sir) Angus Obumneme Ibezim, alongside Tagboo Age Grade Mbaukwu, paid a condolence visit to Sir Goddy Ejie (Akuenwebe).
The delegation extended their sympathies and offered prayers for the family’s strength. Sir Ejie received them warmly and expressed gratitude for their support.
The ceremony was a testament to the impactful life Madam Agnes Ejie lived, as friends, family, and associates gathered to honor her memory.
