Man kills self, wife, son as he sets house ablaze in Anambra

On Thursday January 28th, 2021, report from Amanuke vigilante chairman, in Awka North Local Government Area of Anambra State has it that at about 3am, a hunter, by name, Uchechukwu Nweke, male, aged 65 years of same address allegedly shot his wife, Patricia Nweke ‘female, aged 55 years with a single barrel gun and also burnt his house along with his son named Obinna Nweke aged 29 years in circumstances yet to be ascertained. Suspect equally shot himself using the same gun.

Meanwhile, police detectives attached to Achalla police station visited the scene and took victims to a hospital, Uche hospital at Isuanocha for medical attention, but all the three victims were certified dead on arrival by a medical doctor on duty.

Corpses of the victims were deposited at the hospital’s morgue for autopsy. Investigation is ongoing to ascertain circumstances surrounding the incident.
