
The annual celebration of Mbaukwu Anglican Community, also known as August meeting which took place in St. Lawrence Anglican Church, Mbaukwu on Wednesday 10th August has ended on Friday 12th August, 2022 to usher in Ukpaka Nkwo on Saturday, 20th August 2022.
This is a gathering of women in Anglican Community that came from different parishes.
The meeting started with prayers, praises, worship and words of exaltation.
The president of the Anglican Community, Mrs Chinenye Ibezim read the address and also charged women to stand up to their responsibilities and stand in gap for their families, the state and country at large.
In her interview with Kpakpando correspondent, Mrs Ngozi Nwankwo, also known as Aruneto described this year’s August meeting as a remarkable one because it provides an avenue where women learn new things to equip them in their journey of motherhood. She advised mothers to build their faith in God and stand firm in Him.
Mrs Veronica Iloduba in her own words described this year’s August meeting as a blessing to mothers who came from different parishes to witness this year’s August meeting at St. Lawrence Anglican Church, Mbaukwu. She prayed that God will keep seeing mothers through in all their endeavors.
Mrs Ifeoma Ume, a health educator and her team visited the women and advised them on the importance of COVID-19 Vaccine. She also prayed that God shall save women from domestic violence.
The Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) candidate for state house of Assembly Awka South 2 Constituency also visited the women in a bid to felicitate with them on the event of their 2022 annual general meeting. He also commended them on the role they play in the development of their communities.
