It was a blissful day as Obuofia Village in Mbaukwu, Awka South Local Government in Anambra State empowered some less privileged among them.
The empowerment program took place during their meeting where they discussed the way forward for the good people of Obuofia Village in Mbaukwu.
During an interview with kpakpando correspondents, the chairman of Obuofia Village in Mbaukwu, Mr Nwajagu Benjamin, stated that they started the empowerment scheme with three less privileged people and promised to go further in empowering the less privileged among them as time goes on.
Among the beneficiaries were Mrs Ebele Nweke who got a sewing machine, Master Ebede Onyeka who got writing materials, and Mrs Lilian Ezewulu, who represented her daughter, Chimamanda Ezewulu who also received writing materials.
Mr. Pascal Nnanor who was overwhelmed by the empowerment appreciated the good people of Obuofia for empowering his son with a scholarship.
He thanked Mr. Izuchukwu Okpala Ozigbo for blessing his life in such a great way.
Mr. Izuchukwu Okpala Ozigbo, who is also the treasurer of Obuofia empowerment advised the beneficiaries not to fail them. He promised that they will keep empowering the less privileged among them until their tenure expires.
In conclusion, the Chairman of Obuofia Village, Mr. Benjamin Nwajagu thanked all those that contributed to the empowerment.
He prayed for God’s blessings upon the people of Obuofia Village and Mbaukwu in general. He added that his government will never keep calm until the lives of every less privileged person among them are touched positively.
Mr. Nwajagu also prayed for the success of the Mbaukwu new yam festival which takes place today, 10th Sept; 2022.
