Mother, Children Others Drown At Nzam Flood Disaster In

At least six people including mother and children have lost their lives at Nzam due to flood.

It was gathered that the people attempted escaping before food caught up on them.

In a similar development reported less than a week, a boat mishap occured in Umunnankwo Community in Ogbaru Council Area killing at least 40 persons.

Even though specuations on the number of death is higher, Radio Nigeria Reportes: “the Anambra State Emergency Management Agency, SEMA confirmed that about forty persons were on board the boat that capsized.

“The Executive Secretary of the Agency, Chief Paul Odenigbo revealed this while interacting with newsmen in Awka.

“According to him, the boat after loading at the shores, developed  engine problem and in an attempt to restart, water current carried the boat and hit a bridge causing it to capsize.’
