Mrs Remi Tinubu Hosts Predecessors, Emphasises Importance of Preserving Cultural Values

The First Lady of Nigeria, Oluremi Tinubu, has stressed the need for women to continue nurturing children and instilling good morals while preserving cultural and traditional values. She made this call at an event celebrating women who have made significant contributions to the nation, as part of activities marking President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s one year in office.

Mrs. Tinubu expressed concern that without intervention, the current state of society could lead to children losing their identity. She urged women to become unifying forces in their homes and communities to drive greater prosperity for the nation, drawing inspiration from the legacies of pioneering women.

The event was attended by women from all sectors and strata of the nation, including the wife of the Vice President, Nana Shettima, and former First Lady Patience Jonathan.

The event recognized women who have made significant contributions in their various spheres of life, communities, and the nation at large. It was part of the activities to mark President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s one year in office.
