NAPPMED Donates Vehicles, Office Tables To Police Zone 13

National Association of Patent and Proprietary Medicine Dealers, NAPPMED, Bridgehead Ogbo-Ogwu International Market Onitsha, has donated three Sienna Toyota vehicles and modern office tables to Police Zone Thirteen Headquarters at Ukpo, Dunukofia local government area.

The state Commissioner for Trade and Wealth Creation, Mr. Uchenna Okafor accompanied the group during the official presentation of the items to the AIG in charge of the zone, Mr. Danmallam Mohammed.

Our Correspondent, reports that Commissioner Okafor, who commended the group for supporting the security architecture of the Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie.

Obiano through provision of logistics, assured the AIG that the state and Ndi Anambra will keep supporting them to sustain the tempo of security network in the state.

Mr. Okafor appealed that security agencies in the state should keep playing their own part to earn the people’s support.

On his part, the chairman of the Ogbo-Ogwu International Market, Chief Donatus Ajamma said the gesture was to assist Governor Willie Obiano’s effort in the security sector, and to increase the mobility of the police zone for accelerated security services for the residents as well to create good relationship between Police and traders at the market.

Receiving the items from the group, AIG Mohammed appreciated them and promised that the zone will continue to be on top of its game to ensure effective protection of lives and property in Anambra State.

In a vote of thanks, the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Criminal Department in the zone, DCP Echeng Echeng thanked the group for the donation which he said will beef up their routine exercise and called for more assistance from the public.

The group latter paid a courtesy visit to the Commanding Officer, Special Protection Unit Base 15 Awka, CSP Paul Okafor

Anambra Football Association has commenced the enrollment of over thirty football club owners in the state into the Anambra State Health Insurance Scheme to grant them easier access to cheaper health care services.

The registration into the scheme flagged off by the Caretaker Committee Chairman of the Association Dr Emeka Okeke covers the family members of the club owners.

While speaking on the desire for the Association to ensure sound mind and physical fitness of her members, Dr Okeke disclosed that during their tour of the twenty-one Local Government Areas in the State to reunite the club owners as brothers and inspect areas for the construction of Nationwide League One NLO standard pitch, he discovered the need to partner the Anambra Health Insurance Agency to prioritize the health status of members of the association.

The Anambra Football Association Caretaker Committee Chairman explained that the exercise was to ensure that the lives of people who kept football activities alive in Anambra over the years are being taken good care of and guarantee them that their families will be in sound health while they are away for different sporting events around the country.

Contributing, Mr. Dozie Okpalaugo from the Anambra state Health Insurance Agency said that in line with the vision of Governor Willie Obiano, the Agency tries to raise the bar at all times to record achievement in all sectors and acknowledged that health is of great importance in sports as most of the sportsmen and women do not have access to quality health care.

Responding, Mr. Olisa Onuchukwu, who is the Director of Nnewi United FC expressed happiness with the strategy of the Caretaker Committee which he said clearly shows a visionary leadership of a young man that understands the essential interventions needed to uplift the place of sports.

In their various speeches the owner of Pope Johnpaul and Okpuno FC Mr. Onyekachi Obidima and Mr. Ikenna Osueke, who owns Ozala Football Academy described the move as innovative as the association never had it so good in the past
