NAU Digitalizes Sandwich Learning Programme

To be in touch with global realities, the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Sandwich directorate has embraced online digitalization to facilitate the teaching and learning process for university lecturers and students.
To enhance the intellectual proficiency of students, the unit organized a programme tagged, orientation and 2023/2024 further training on online learning and timely response in Sandwich programme.
The Acting Vice Chancellor of Unizik, Prof Carol Arinze -Umobi, represented by the Director of Chike Okoli Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies, Prof. Ada Sam Omenyi, underscored the imperatives of online learning for teachers and their students which is the global trend.
The Vice Chancellor spoke on the importance of the programme, attendance to lectures on one side, examination malpractices, certificcate forgery and cultism as misconducts they should avoid.
The Director of the Unit, Prof. Constance Okoli in a welcome address, said the orientation will equip the students with the necessary skills to navigate properly in their chosen areas of discipline.
Prof. Okoli urged them to work towards abiding by the code of conduct of the University and using the facilities at their disposal in the citadel of learning to graduate without hitches.
A former Director of the Unit, Prof Uche Obidiegwu, encouraged the students to embrace the online learning and to be proactive and timely in their approach to learning.
In their various remarks, the University Librarian, Prof. Stella Anyansi, the Deputy Bursar of the University, Mrs. Ebele Okeke, the Chief Security Officer, Chief Ken Chukwurah among other university functionaries, lectured the students on their areas of specialization.
Highpoint of the orientation was a courtesy call on the Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Arinze-Umobi, by the Unit led by the Director, Prof. Olkoli.
