Meanwhile , the House of Representatives Adhoc Committee on new naira re-design and naira swap policy has opposed the 10 days extension of the deadline of collection of old naira notes.

A statement issued by the Adhoc Committee , chaired by the leader of the House, Hon Alhassan Ado Doguwa , on Sunday as reported by the Guardian, noted that the house would only accept clear section 20 sub 3,4 and 5 of the CBN act and nothing more.

He said that the House would go ahead and sign the arrest warrant to compel the CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele to appear before the Adhoc Committee .

He said that the extension is only a mere gimmick to worsen the economic and social livelihood of Nigerians.

He equally claimed that the policy is capable of frustrating the forthcoming general elections.
