Report has it that Nigeria is falling behind in achieving the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in areas like poverty and hunger.
The United Nations estimates Nigeria needs 337 billion dollars to meet these goals, but progress remains slow.
Gbenga Komolafe, General Secretary of the Federation of Informal Workers Organisation of Nigeria, criticized the government for failing to take serious action and noted that poverty is increasing, partly due to ineffective and politicized programs.
The UN has stressed that over $300 billion is needed to address the widening gap between the rich and poor in Nigeria.
