Nigeria records 37 new cases of Coronavirus infection

Update on COVID-19 indicates that on the 21st of October 2020, 37 new confirmed cases of Coronavirus were recorded in Nigeria.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, which disclosed this in its report said till date, 61,667 cases have been confirmed in the country.

Of this figure, 56,880 cases have been discharged, while 1, 125 deaths have also been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

According to NCDC, the 37 new cases were reported from 9 states, namely:

  • FCT (8), Lagos (7),
    Taraba (5), Rivers (5),
    Adamawa (4) Kaduna (3),
    Anambra (2), Osun (2),
    and Ogun (1)
