Passports of the first 100 passengers that have failed to take COVID-19 test after arrival into Nigeria will be suspended for 6 months.
This was made known by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) and Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, Mr. Boss Mustapha at the PTF briefing on Tuesday and will take effect from January 1st, 2021
According to Mustapha, the names of the defaulting passengers will also be published in the national dailies, to further serve as a deterrent to violators of the covid 19 protocols.
The PTF also reports that week 52 has so far given the highest number of infections in a single week to date and 16 out of every 100 Covid-19 tests carried out came out positive, even as they reiterated the observance of Covid 19 precautions to help control the spread of the virus.
