Four Nigerian cultural icons including 2Baba, Basketmouth, Ola of Lagos, and Rarara, are visiting India to explore the potential of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). Organized by the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative, the trip aims to showcase India’s success in integrating CNG into transportation, domestic, and industrial use, positioning it as a case study for Nigeria’s energy transition.

The delegation will tour India’s CNG infrastructure, including refueling stations, gas distribution centers, and industrial hubs. The initiative seeks to inspire confidence in Nigeria’s shift to CNG, reduce reliance on fuel subsidies, and promote economic independence.

Presidential adviser Otega Ogra highlighted the importance of engaging the public through trusted influencers to foster understanding and transparency in the energy transition process. Supported by Femadec Energy and Rolling Energy, the campaign is expected to drive grassroots engagement.
