Nigerians Are Good People, It’s Our System That Allows Fraud To Flourish, Says Anti-Corruption Agency, EFCC Boss

The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ola Olukoyede, has emphasized that Nigerians are fundamentally good people, but the system in the country allows fraud to thrive.

During a courtesy visit by the NDDC management led by Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, Olukoyede praised the NDDC’s “Rewind to Rebirth” initiative, expressing hope for a future where the Commission embodies transparency and accountability.

He urged public officeholders to maintain integrity, reminding them that accountability is inevitable. Olukoyede also assured that the EFCC would continue its anti-corruption efforts and collaborate with the NDDC to achieve its developmental goals for the Niger Delta region.
