
Vice Presidential Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in 2019 general elections and former governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi, has expressed sadness over the death of Balarabe Musa, a former governor of Kaduna State, who passed-on yesterday, Wednesday, 11 November 2020 at the age of 84.
In a Condolence Message to the bereaved family, government and people of Kaduna State, Obi described Balarabe Musa as a progressive elder statesman, who consistently spoke out against bad governance, corruption and injustice prevalent in Nigeria’s political terrain.
He saw Balarabe Musa’s death as a great loss to the nation, noting that the deceased would be remembered for his patriotic advice to the nation whenever it was needed.
Obi condoled with the family of Late Balarabe Musa, urging them to see the death of their patriarch as the ultimate Will of the Almighty.
He also sympathised with the people and government of Kaduna State, and Nigeria as a whole, praying God to grant him eternal rest.
Meanwhile, the Kaduna state former governor, Balarabe Musa, has been laid to rest in Kaduna.
The burial was preceded by a funeral prayer led by Sheikh Ahmed Gumi, at Sultan Bello Central Mosque, Kaduna.
