The Obizi Ekunie Movement has endorsed the member representing Awka South Two Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Honourable Chukwuma Okoye for second tenure in 2023.
The group made the endorsement at the event organized in his honour at Nibo Civic Centre, Awka South Local Government Area.
According to the President of Obizi Ekunie Movement, Mr. Chigozie Obiako the lawmaker has been exceptionally excellent in delivering the dividends of democracy not only in his constituency but also beyond.
He further said the achievements recorded in the last two years and eleven months by Honourable Okoye is unprecedented as it has helped in no small measure to reposition the Constituency for better growth and development.
Mr Obiako disclosed that Obizi Ekunie Movement comprising all the towns in Awka South Two Constituency is saddled with the responsibility of assessing public office holders in the constituency with a view to ensuring that good governance thrives in the area.
Speaking at the event, Honourable Okoye, while appreciating the group and his constituents for their support, described the endorsement as a call for more work.
The legislator said he is now more motivated and charged to deliver more dividends of democracy to the people of the constituency, especially at the grassroot.
The occasion climaxed with the inauguration of central and towns executives of Obizi Ekunie Movement.
