
Federal Polytechnic oko in collaboration with Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETfund) has supplied the Mass Communication Department of the Institution with not less than 50 ultramodern communication equipment.
The equipment including consoles, plasma television sets, microphones, studio cameras, still cameras, Antennas and stabilisers were received by Head of the Department (HOD), Mr Fidelis Oduah.

In his remarks, Mr Oduah described the gesture as first of its kind since the inception of the department, while applauding the Rector of the Polytechnic Mrs Francisca Nwafulugo, who he described as a leader that does not hesitate to bring development to the institution.
Speaking further, Oduah noted that Immediately Mrs Francisca Nwafulugo assumed office as the Rector of Federal Polytechnic Oko, she took up the need to upgrade the Department to International standards by providing it with necessary equipments which will see the Department be one of the best Mass Communication Department in West Africa as we as compete globally with any institution in Mass Communication.
The visibly excited Mass communication Head of Department reavealed that the institution has witnessed many developmental projects since Mrs Nwafulugo assumed office, Which includes inaugurating the Dean’s Complex, General Studies (GNS) building, re-accrediting not less than 60 departments amongst others.
He then expressed gratitude to TETfund for working tirelessly with the school management to acquire the equipments for the department,
While affirming that the Department also has professionals to man them.
In Conclusion Mr. Oduah posited that he will ensure that the department produces the best graduates in the field of Mass Communication that will compete favourably with the International media practitioners.
