The people of Okpuno, in Awka South Local Government Area, have expressed appreciation to Governor Chukwuma Soludo for the on going UNIZIK-Obi Okoli-Y Junction-Goodwill Junction-Ifite-Isuanaocha road project .
The people made their feelings known while speaking with our correspondent who monitored pace of work on the road.
Presently, earth work is ongoing on the project, especially at Goodwill Junction Okpuno where scrapping of old asphalt , sand filling and compaction were carried out yesterday.
Drainage construction continued to Y-junction axis alongside earthwork.
Expressing appreciation while monitoring the progress of work on the road, a stakeholder Mr Ekene Obidimna said that they all came out to give the contractor necessary assistance to ensure there is no interference that would disturb them from working, adding that they were happy with the road infrastructure passing through their community
Mr Obidimma assured that they will give the Governor every support to carry on with the good work he is doing in the state.
