On Foreign News,
Israel launched fresh attacks on Beirut, the Lebanese capital, earlier today.
The Israeli army announced on social media platform X that it was targeting terrorist sites in Beirut.
Evacuation orders were issued for several buildings in the city’s southern suburbs, but no casualties or damage were immediately reported.
The strikes follow a massive missile attack by Iran on Tuesday, where around 180 rockets were fired at Israel.
Iran stated that the attack was in retaliation for the deaths of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh and Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. It warned of further devastating strikes if Israel retaliates.
This escalation comes after Israel began a limited ground operation targeting Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, raising concerns that the region is on the brink of a broader conflict.
