A child and a woman were in critical condition on Friday after a car crashed into the building of a primary school in southwest London, leaving an eight-year-old girl dead.
The crash, which police said was not terror-related, happened at the private Study Prep girls’ in Wimbledon.
According to the London’s Metropolitan Police in an update of the incident, a second eight-year-old girl, and a woman, in her 40s, were taken to hospital where they remains in a life-threatening condition,.
The police, ambulance and fire service were called to the scene on Camp Road, near Wimbledon Common, after the incident
They added that the driver of the vehicle, a 46-year-old woman from Wimbledon, was detained at the scene and taken to hospital.
Her condition was assessed as not life-threatening, they and She is suspected of causing death by dangerous driving and has been bailed pending further enquiries.
