The 7th National Youth Games which was meant to be take place in Asaba, Delta in February has been postponed.
A statement by Director of Press and Public Relations of the Sports Ministry, Mohammed Manga said that the postponement is due to logistics and time constraints, especially , bearing in mind the commencement of the General Elections on February 25, 2023.
He said that the Ministry, while regretting all the inconveniences the postponement might cause it’s stakeholders, a new date for the games will be announced after the elections.
