Manchester City midfielder Rodri has expressed concerns that players might strike due to the increasing number of fixtures. Rodri, who played 63 games last season, says the current schedule could push players to a breaking point.

With City involved in the expanded Champions League and the new Club World Cup, some players could face up to 85 games this season. Rodri argued that beyond 50 games, maintaining peak performance becomes challenging. He highlighted the physical strain and the need for reform to avoid burnout.

Despite these concerns, Rodri, who is also a Ballon d’Or nominee, said he remains committed to Manchester City.
