Ondo Deputy Governor Aiyedatiwa Sworn In Following Death Of Governor Akeredolu
NGF Mourns Ondo Gov Olurotimi Akeredolu
Ondo State Deputy Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has been sworn In As Ondo Governor.
The swearing in followed the death of governor Olurotimi Akeredolu on 27th December, 2023.
The Chief Judge of Ondo State, Justice Olusegun Odusola, performed the swearing in ceremony at the governor’s office in Akure at exactly 5:14pm
Present at the ceremony include the Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Rt Hon Olamide Oladiji, members of the State Assembly, the Secretary to the State Government, Princess Oladunni Odu.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum and Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has expressed sadness over the death of Ondo State Governor, Olurotimi Akeredolu (SAN), describing him as an exceptional statesman who made indelible marks in public service.
The forum commiserates with the Governors’ Forum, the government and people of Ondo State, the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), as well as the immediate family of the late Governor of the Sunshine State.
A statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, described the loss as painful, and urged all to take solace in his fine legacies as a gentleman and statesman and prayed God to repose his soul and look after his family.”
