Ondo State Governor, Dr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has approved the recruitment of 1,100 new teachers through the State Universal Basic Education Board, ODSUBEB.
This follows the recent employment of 1,010 teachers for secondary schools, bringing the total number of newly hired teachers to 2,110.
Governor Aiyedatiwa reaffirmed his commitment to addressing the shortage of teachers in public schools, especially in rural areas.
ODSUBEB Chairman, Rt. Hon. Victor Olabimtan, praised the move, saying it will bridge the gap left by retiring teachers and improve education quality.
The board confirmed that details on successful applicants will be announced soon.
