The need for parents to imbibe the basics of culture and traditions as they nurture their children has been identified as a crucial part of instilling the sense of moral standards in children in our society.
Speaking in an event in Awka, the wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Mrs Nonye Soludo emphasized that cultural and traditional embodiments play a pivotal factor in how children respond to their environments, pointing out that a child whose development roots are embedded in the right customary path will prioritize hard work over crimes.
She said that each Anambra child is entitled to vast social benefits, including children-friendly policies that have been initiated by Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration.
Mrs Soludo also encouraged parents to teach their children and wards the sacredness of the Igbo culture and heritage, including communicating with them in Igbo language and the need for parents to be the right models for their children to emulate and also endeavour to provide the right environment for the children to grow, learn and thrive.
She also pledged to continue to stand in the front of the campaign to improve the lives of all Anambra children while demanding that all stakeholders, starting from homes, schools, religious places and the general society, must understand the imperative of the crusade, and play honest role in achieving each of its aims.
