Panel Of Enquiry Fixes 28th June For Public Hearing On Ochanja Market, DMGS Building Collapse, Calls For Memoranda From Public
The Panel of Enquiry inaugurated on 20th June 2024, by Governor Chukwuma Soludo to investigate the collapse of lock-up shops at Oduigbo, Ochanja Market, and Centenary Building at DMGS, Onitsha, has called for memoranda from members of the public to assist in achieving set objectives.
The panel also requested for memoranda from all professional bodies; building design, construction and supervision professionals, building developers, all stakeholders and any other interested party.
A public service announcement signed by the Chairman of the Panel, Engr. Victor Meju, explained that submission of memorandum started on Saturday, 22nd, to end on Thursday, 27thn June , 2024.
The release also notified that public hearing will start on Friday 28th June, at ten o’clock in the morning, at the Secretary to the State Government’s Conference Hall, Government House, Awka.
According to the release, all memoranda shall be submitted to the office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Housing, Jerome Udorji Secretariat, Awka.
