Report has it that there has been an outbreak of COVID-19 at Aso Rock, with some presidential aides testing positive.
According to the report, those affected include the Permanent Secretary in the State House, Tijani Umar; the President’s Aide-de-camp (ADC), Yusuf Dodo; Chief Security Officer (CSO), Aliyu Musa, and the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu. The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, is also affected.
It was gathered that their results were confirmed positive during the week.
However, Garba Shehu was quoted to have said that they have no confirmation of the cases mentioned, but he has been afflicted by the mild variant of the COVID-19. He also said he felt okay from the beginning, maybe because he has received all three jabs.
He said he was already taking his prescriptions and isolating and would go back for a test.
