People of Umuawulu Enjoined To Embrace Peace And Unity
The people of Umuawulu have been called to embrace peace and continue to uphold the unity of the community.
High Chief Azubuike Ekweozor made the call during the New Yam Festival of the community, which took place on Saturday, 24th September, 2022.
High Chief Ekweozor also praised the traditional ruler of the town, His Royal Majesty Igwe Joel Egwuonwu, for quality leadership and for working for the progress and unity of the community.
He called on the people of the town to continue to give the traditional ruler all necessary support for unity and continued development of the community.
The community leader and philanthropist later joined the Obinwanne Age Grade, Umuawulu, to celebrate their new yam festival at the Ebeavuja Village Square, where he called on the members of the age grade to continue to work for the development and safety of the community.
Highlights of the event include cultural dance and masquerade displays which added colour to the event.
There were also local sumptuous meals that were part of the community’s hospitality
Some of Chief Ekweozor’s friends and associates were also at the event which was part of activities marking his birthday celebration.
