The Anambra State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has congratulated the people of the state on the occasion of the 29th anniversary of the creation of new Anambra state.

The congratulatory message titled “PDP Salutes Anambra People At 29”, was contained in a press statement signed by the Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr Nnamdi Nwangwu.

The PDP noted that the state has come a long way and that the people of the state have demonstrated their ingenuity in almost every field of human endeavor.

Mr Nwangwu posited that Anambra people by all known standards, have proved to be the real light of the nation, as there is hardly any field that the people have not proven their worth. Be it industry, business, academic and sports, etc.

He contended that as a matter of fact, ‘Anambra Spirit’ has become a term commonly used to refer to persons who are creative and industrious because the people have shown that they can create something out of nothing..

He however noted that the state and her people would have occupied the enviable position of being one of the best in the comity of states in the Federal Republic of Nigeria if the government of the day is consolidating on the achievements of previous administrations.

Nwangwu urged the good people of the state not be discouraged with the poor turn of events, promising that PDP is passionately committed to bringing a new lease of life to the state and her people.

He pointed out that Anambra State is one state that the people are doing so much to better their lives and society, and individuals are known to carry out projects that are beneficial to the populace, which is a unique quality of Anambra people.

According to him, the PDP has resolved to renew the Anambra Spirit in governance come 2022, saying the party will provide empowerment and enabling environment for corporate organizations, businesses and individuals to actualize their potentials.
