The entire people of Agulu community in Anaocha LGA, Anambra state have joined some Nigerians in a million match in solidarity for their son, Mr Peter Obi on Saturday 3rd September 2022.
The walk which took off from Agulu town hall to the boundaries connecting the town, and boundary between Agulu and Nise , was also to unveil the bill board set up the community in support of Mr Peter Obi.
The walk was led by the President general of Agulu Chief Oliver Afamefuna.
According to Kpakpando Correspondent, Marvelous Ezenwa, the President General sharing the message of hope, said that the people of Agulu have made history as they gathered to celebrate their own son and brother.
Quoting Martin Luther King Jr, he said that they need a leader not in love with money, but in love with justice, and humanity.
He lamented that Nigerians are saddened by the dangerous direction in the recent times and the homelessness that seems to engulf the citizens as some parts of the country have been witnessing some ethnic and religious divisions, kidnappings, sensless killings, abductions, banditres, joblessness, political and judicial rascalities that has taken over the hope of the young people.
He equally attributed such hopelessness to poor leadership in the country.
Chief Afamefuna said that Peter Obi has succeeded in turning the Nigeria political equation in Nigeria .
The public relations officer of Agulu people Union Chinazo Onwuazombe commended all that came out for the walk, saying it is a sign that Peter Obi is loved by all.
Friends from neighbouring towns joined Agulu in the walk alongside notable politicians like Hon Valentine Ayika, Hon Ebere Ejiofor, Hon Nkechi Ogbuefi and Peter Obi movement for new Nigeria group and many others
