The death toll from the school building collapse in Jos, Plateau State, has risen from 17 to 22.
The incident, which occurred at Saint Academy in the Busa Buji community, also left 154 people injured.
State Commissioner for Information, Musa Ashoms, confirmed that the injured receive medical treatment at hospitals across Jos.
The Plateau State Government has activated emergency response protocols, with efforts from the National Emergency Management Agency, Red Cross, and other agencies.
Governor Mutfwang has instructed hospitals to prioritize treatment for victims and urged adherence to safety standards.
